Associate Professor Dr Deepika Monga is an experienced and highly sought after female Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, looking after the wellbeing of women from Ballarat and surrounds.

After graduating with a degree in medicine and surgery in 1985, she started her training at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. Following her internship and residency, she gained Masters in O&G (MD and DNBE). She worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with Ministry of Health Malaysia, during which period she supervised over 20,000 deliveries, and presented and published 50 research papers. She moved to Australia with her husband, a Consultant Anaesthetist and 2 young children. She worked towards elevation to Fellowship of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) after which she commenced private practice.

From a personal perspective, Deepika is both a dedicated wife and loving mother of two children. This, combined with over 25 years experience in women’s healthcare and fertility management, allows Deepika to be able to offer comprehensive and compassionate care. The main aim of her private practice is to provide personalised care of the highest standard to women of all ages and needs.

Dr Mahi Salimeda is a dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Ballarat, where she has lived with her husband and two children since 2022. With experience across rural, regional, and metropolitan Victoria, she is committed to delivering high-quality women’s health care to diverse communities.

Her clinical practice spans comprehensive women’s health, including antenatal and postnatal care, management of low- and high-risk pregnancies, and a wide range of gynaecological services such as menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, menopause management, colposcopy, vulval conditions, and minimally invasive procedures.

Dr Salimeda completed her MBBS and a Master of Surgery in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India in 2013. After relocating to Australia in 2016, she continued her training at Mildura Base Hospital and completed specialist training through RANZCOG at Werribee Mercy Hospital. She was awarded her Fellowship (FRANZCOG) in 2022 and subsequently completed an Associate Fellowship (AFRACMA) with Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators in 2025.

Since 2022, she has served as a Consultant at Ballarat Health Services (Grampians Health), where she is a valued member of the clinical team. She also serves as Gynaecological Oncology Coordinator, overseeing regional cancer care, chairing multidisciplinary team meetings, and coordinating with tertiary centres, including Monash Health.

Dr Salimeda is actively involved in education as a training supervisor with RANZCOG and a contributor to medical student teaching at Deakin University.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family and engaging with the Ballarat community.
